Hee haw......Panama City here I come

Situated in equal distances between Canada and Mexico lies Panama City Beach, Florida. Imagine being surrounded by emerald green and crystalline blue waters, with powdery white sand stretching over 27 miles of spectacular, tropical beauty. You are not on the French Riviera, or on the Caribbean. This is the America’s "Southern Riviera", located perfectly on the Gulf of Mexico. All along the coastline, some of the most popular nightclubs in the United States await you, intermingled with fabulous restaurants serving everything from traditional seaside fare to the best of steaks.

Every few blocks a pier protrudes out into the timeless sea, where you can walk out to fish or just gaze at the undulating waves and feel the power of the ages. Combining both a recreational haven and a thriving business community, Panama City, or ‘PC’ in the local lingo, successfully mixes the best of both worlds. Me, Kunal, Anupam and Kyla went for this trip as Kyla had to attend this function at the church in Pensacola. The revival function there was aired live in 120 countries worldwide. Here in this photo are Kunal and Kyla posing against the picturesque  landscape of the PC beach.

The Club La vela is the place where MTV shoots regularly its Grind program. Trust me...u wont want to miss one of those while they are shooting it.  Anupam is the new person in the photo. Club La Vela is not only the largest nightclub in the USA, it is also one of the trendiest and most respected nightclubs in the world. There are 12 different dance floors here. We went to La Vela at 11.30 PM and came out at 3.00 AM. Man...I had a blast there. I danced my way into the night. Though initially my dancing invited a lot of jeers finally I managed to get it right thanks to Kyla.

The trip to Panama City is one of those which I will never forget in my whole life. Partying, merry making, swimming dancing... you name it....it was there. Florida rocks. First we went to Pensacola and then to Panama city. Drive across the Pensacola Bay Bridge to Santa Rosa Island and the town of Pensacola Beach, where you can snorkel, sail, jet ski and parasail to your heart's content. The largest city in Florida's Panhandle, Pensacola is home to a U.S. Naval Air Station, whose grounds include historic Fort Barrancas.

With the close proximity of such cities as Mobile, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Tallahassee, more than 40 million people are within a day’s drive of Bay County. Certainly this gives Panama City quite a decided business and commercial edge! Located on St. Andrew Bay and entirely modern, Port Panama City is one of the most important and most economical  ports for importing and exporting foreign goods. The trip back to Alabama was painful. I simply didn't want to leave the place.
