These photos were taken at the Mystic aquarium in Connecticut. This place is simply too good. Entering the place one comes face to face with New England’s only beluga whales, photos 1,2. In the main building you’ll encounter the amazing richness and variety of our planet’s habitats and life forms. Special attractions include: Frogs!, Swamp Things, underwater viewing of the sea lions, an exhibit on rays, photos 4,9,10. In the sea lion show (photos 7,8) see how sea lions are trained to accomplish complex underwater tasks, including locating lost objects human divers can’t find, or recording the behavior of gray whales. Its an amazing display of speed, agility and animal intelligence in action. |
