Coca Cola was first made in Atlanta. Coca Cola was invented in May 1886 by Dr.J.S.Pemberton in Atlanta. The name Coca Cola was suggested by his bookkeeper Frank Robinson. Today the products of the company are consumed at the rate of 1 billion drinks per day. It is via Atlanta that I set my foot on US soil, though Chicago was my port of entry.

Located in the heart of the city, Underground Atlanta offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants and activities for everyone to enjoy. Vendors that line the cobblestone streets with face painting, magic tricks, fortune telling, toys, food, accessories, and much more are one of the special attractions of underground Atlanta.

Ted Turner's groundbreaking news operation has become an Atlanta icon. Tours of the facility, including the high-tech news production studios, are offered daily. Atlanta is just a 2 hour drive from Auburn, where I used to  live. An Atlanta outing is a must every month for the desi student who is fed up seeing Alabama.

The CNN centre is just awesome and is located in Downtown Atlanta. The airport is called Hartsfield international airport. Hartsfield bears the proud distinction of being "the world’s busiest passenger airport. Coming from the interstate south  this is one of the sights that greet you first.

This place is also home to the Georgia Tech University, one of the nation’s top research universities. The Georgia Dome in Atlanta is the largest cable-supported domed stadium in the world. It has a seating capacity large enough to host political conventions, major concerts or even the Super Bowl.

This photo was taken inside the Mall of Georgia which has more than 2 million square feet full of excitement. Mall of Georgia features  more than 225 of the most exciting stores in the country. The person sitting next to me Amit Pai helps the US economy a lot by buying loads of stuff from this mall.
